Where Olcote Wellbeing began...
I’m Iain and I'm the founder of Olcote Wellbeing. A small, local (but passionate) business I've built over the years promoting health, fitness and well being to all. Finding fitness strategies that work for you.
Olcote Wellbeing has evolved over time as it was born out of a change in my own life.
I was diagnosed with a complex, rare and life threatening medical condition in my early thirties which had a significant impact on my life. Determined to keep active and as healthy as possible to help my body remain as strong, protect my bone density from deterioration, keep focused, mentally strong and keep my ‘trade mark’ positive attitude, I turned fully to my love of fitness. Making it my business not just my passion.
Having trained hard and concentrated on weight bearing activity I began to see and feel the benefits proper fitness regimes can bring. I continued with my passion for Yoga that I had practised as a teenager, studying further, training as a teacher to help others discover the benefits of this whole way of life, building strength in mind and body.
As the years have gone by I have continued to turn my own fitness journey into training hard and studying further to help others more on their own goals to fitness and well being.
I am fully qualified, experienced and insured in the following:
Full Yoga Teacher qualification with over 36 years practice
Full Pilates Teacher qualification
Fully qualified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor (Level 4)
Qualified Clinical Personal Trainer (able to help special populations or clients with chronic health conditions) and Further qualifications in fall prevention fitness.
Qualified Dance Fitness Instructor, Holding qualifications in Fit Steps and Fit Steps FAB and SOSA Dance Fitness., Seated SOSA and Simply SOSA (fully inclusive referral fitness and fall prevention awareness). I am also proud to be the Winner of the 2019 UK Best Male Instructor Award for Fit Steps and I am even prouder to be part of the SOSA Pro-Team of National Choreographers.

As you can probably tell, I care passionately about my work and my clients. I believe that Fitness and well being activities can help overcome the bad times, help boost the good times and bring fantastic results!
The whole ethos of Olcote Wellbeing is to help you get fit in mind and body, get active and encourage you to reach your own goals and full potential. I aim to help you get that confidence, build on those goals, keep you motivated and have fun doing it!
